Easy Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 250g gluten free flour
  • 6 overripe bananas
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • Handful of blueberries
  • Shredded coconut for top
  • 3/4 cup of water

 Method

Mash banana with fork roughly, add water to this and mix through. Add dry ingredients to mixture. Add berries. Place in a lined cake tin and sprinkle with shredded coconut. This  is great for being able to cut in to fingers so it’s easy for baby to hold. Bake in oven set to 200 degrees for approximately one hour. Slice into easy to hold fingers.


Snacks and morning tea for a baby led weaning should be free from refined sugar, salt and other additives that don’t really serve their health. I advise to keep things as simple as possible - for you who has to throw ingredients together quickly and for them, as their little digestive systems adapt to food.
